As such, London is home to an active music scene, fueled in part by the presence of the University of Western Ontario, with bands and artists playing in venues around town in genres ranging from blues to punk to electronic. Popular music venues around London include The Wave, Cuckoo’s Nest, and the Wolf Performance Hall. Additionally, a number of noteworthy bands and musicians have ties to London, including rock band The Birthday Massacre, noise music pioneers Nihilist Spasm Band, big band legend Guy Lombardo, and teen pop phenomenon Justin Bieber, to name a few.
London is home to several quality recording studios, and its location within driving distance of Toronto offers access to even more music activity. My mentor at the studio, Donny B. is very knowledgeable. He helped me through the process since the beginning. He helped me pick a great laptop suitable for Engineers. I had no clue of the existence of any DAW's, and after a few months of spending time at the studio, asking questions, getting a hands on experience, and doing colabs with other students/engineers I now have the privilege to be a professional.
