The recording business, like the film and radio broadcasting business, is a RELATIONSHIP DRIVEN BUSINESS. What that means is that it is MORE ABOUT WHO YOU KNOW THAN ANYTHING ELSE. I have never, ever hired anyone because of a resume or what audio school they went to. I have only hired people that come recommended from friends and fellow co-workers.
If you want to work in the recording business as a Producer you better know the craft of producing and recording yes, but more importantly you better have friends, lots of them. The Recording Connection program hooks you up with the people doing the hiring.

I wanted to inform you that today I finished the Recording Program in Jackson, MICHIGAN. I just got a call from Student Services at your school and she told me that I will be receiving my certificate of completion in a few days.
My teacher was and still is the best mentor anyone could ask for. He is an amazing teacher and has hired me as his assistant engineer. So, I will be working with him and continuing to learn the music recording business. So, everything is just awesome. I am being paid in the music business in less than 6 months because of your school. I appreciate all of your help in these past few months. I am glad that you were with me along the way and got me the best mentor for me. I also want to thank you for your student services department. You guys called me and looked out for me and I really appreciate it.
I wish you continued sucess. This is a a great school.
Thanks
