Audio and Music Production School in Honolulu, Hawaii

Not like any other school, this is Audio Education Updated, Reimagined, and Revitalized. Are You Ready to Take Your Place?

We took that old stale classroom concept, rebuilt and upgraded it by putting your classroom in a professional recording studio. Then we emptied out all the other students and left only YOU and YOUR TEACHER (yay for one-on-one learning!) who happens to be a pro music producer (with killer credits) to train you privately (at your pace, full time, part time, nights or weekends available).

Your Journey starts here. Amplify your Life and go to the next Level.

Are you our next Success Story?

How it works

We hit different and here is why:

There are many professions that require a certain amount of time in the classroom – and with good reason! Before getting your hands dirty as a heart surgeon, it’s probably a good idea to crack a book or two. When it comes to making music, however, we believe the sooner you can get into the studio the better.

That’s why we place you in a fully immersive environment during the first week. You’ll receive one-on-one mentoring from a PRO MUSIC PRODUCER from inside their PROFESSIONAL RECORDING STUDIO, soaking up as much as you can about making music in today’s world.

We believe throwing you in the mix from the start jump-starts the learning process and gets you the information you want much quicker. The HONOLULU RECORDING CONNECTION doesn’t require prerequisites or make you sign up for classes you don’t want, either. Working with an Academic Facilitator and your mentor, you’ll craft a curriculum based on your strengths while giving you an overall foundation in audio and music production.

Recording Connection understands real life can get in the way of an education, any education. So we just removed that obstacle – along with setting the curriculum, you’ll also have a say in your schedule. You have bills to pay so we won’t make you quit your day job. Fortunately, the music industry runs 24/7, 365 days a year. Together, we’ll find a time that works for you and your mentor.

Our costs – both time and money – are lower than those of traditional four-year universities, too. Our AUDIO ENGINEERING AND MUSIC PRODUCTION SCHOOL runs for six to nine months and will run you just a fraction of those name schools. Our mentors are all too happy to get the next generation of music producers up and running.

But how fast you run is up to you. We get it – walking into a professional recording studio for the first time can be pretty overwhelming. But now is not the time to pull out your phone and start taking pictures (save that for when you’re building your brand on social media). Remember, your mentor is here to teach but also work, secure clients, and run a studio.

Who knows? After a year, you may be doing the same thing. But it all comes down to how hard you work during that year. Are you ready to amplify your life?

We will submit your music to labels or get you a job in a studio or as a creator.

You don’t have to go into extreme debt to go to Music Production and Audio Engineering School

We can train you in a real recording studio for far less. Play it smart–get on the inside track, and get connected as you get educated. Our audio recording school is a highly effective and affordable way to start your audio engineering career.

CLOSE TO HOME OR IN YOUR HOME

10 Miles, 10 Blocks, or 10 Seconds away from your future

Based on Oahu island, in the largest city of the Hawaiian cities, Recording Connection wanted to be able to reach the largest number of people in the state. And while anyone in the Aloha State can enroll in our Audio Engineering and Music Production Programs, we realize commuting from one island to another can make for a difficult commute.

After all, needing a plane or a boat to get to school isn’t necessarily a “traditional” way of getting to school. But Recording Connection, and the music industry as a whole, is hardly traditional. We’ve been offering remote learning for decades, giving students the ability to get the same one-on-one in-studio instruction with their mentor.

It also allows Hawaiians to look for mentors on the mainland, too. We have more than 250 locations throughout the U.S. With remote learning, you get access to any one of them. Los Angeles, New York, Miami, or Chicago – none of these mentors out of reach when you’re enrolled with the Recording Connection.

If you've been looking for a way to drastically increase your skill and knowledge of audio engineering then RRFC should be at the top of your list. RRFC has transformed who i am as an engineer, and how i approach music as a whole.

Yes, we have over 4000 positive reviews. Our students value the impact our programs have on their future. You learn from the best.

Recording Connection does a GREAT job at placing you into REAL studios with REAL engineers and opens the door to allow you to create those connections with your mentor, and continual learning. You truly get out of the program what you put in. Another great aspect of the program are the virtual advisors that can help you with question regarding Pro Tools and other material as well. Much props to Alex Solis for helping me through the program!

After being a musician for a couple of years, I've decided to take my music skills to the next level. I was very fortunate to have landed in Recording Connection, they helped me out since day one with my registration, and any paperwork needed. I was placed at ES Audio Studios in Glendale, CA. My mentor at the studio, Donny B. is very knowledgeable. He helped me through the process since the beginning. He helped me pick a great laptop suitable for Engineers. I had no clue of the existence of any DAW's, and after a few months of spending time at the studio, asking questions, getting a hands on experience, and doing colabs with other students/engineers I now have the privilege to be a professional. A huge thank you, to all who helped answer my questions and helped me grow as a professional engineer.

I had a very good experience with Recording Connection and my mentor Donny Baker from ES Audio Recording Studios. He taught me the things that I need to know about being an engineer/producer and to always be prepared for the gig and to keep the gig as well. I learned a lot from my mentor, other students that are more experienced, my Academic Facilitator Jon, and other engineers that worked there. I thank everybody that has helped me through this journey and will use the advice that has been given to me to improve as an engineer.
