We hit different and here is why:
In the past, making a name for yourself in the audio engineering or music producing professions meant you needed to go to one of a handful “name” four-year universities and get a degree. From there, you’d hope to get your foot in the door of a recording studio and work doing the grunt work until the boss or head engineer decided to give you a shot.
As it often does, technology changed all of that. As digital audio workstations became more powerful, and home computers became less expensive, a new breed of audio engineers began to grow. Unfortunately, the way those “traditional” schools operated did not change.
That’s when Recording Connection stepped up to the plate. Instead of classrooms, we put our students inside real-world OKLAHOMA CITY RECORDING STUDIOS. Instead of a tenured professor, we pair students with PRO MUSIC PRODUCERS who probably even work with the very bands you listen to. Instead of sharing space with several other students, we offer a one-on-one environment.
And unlike other OKLAHOMA CITY AUDIO ENGINEERING & MUSIC PRODUCTION SCHOOLS, we continue to change as technology and processes dictate. Our curriculum is created with the individual in mind. We realize your needs and curiosities are not exactly the same as the student who came before you – so why should you be forced to learn the exact way they did?
With this type of teaching in place, there’s no need to draw the process out with a bunch of prerequisite classes universities seem to feel you need. Our programs last six to nine months and focus on what the industry is looking for today, not rehashing what was new 20 years ago.
The music industry isn’t like those other traditional jobs. And the Recording Connection isn’t like those other traditional four-year universities. In a creative industry, technology changes, gear changes, processes change. Why not go with the school that changed how audio engineering and music production was taught?

What sets the Recording Connection apart from other AUDIO ENGINEERING AND MUSIC PRODUCTION SCHOOLS IN OKLAHOMA CITY or four-year universities is the ability to work in-house or in your house. As Covid-19 entered the lexicon of 2020, it was clear many institutions were ill-prepared to provide a safe way to teach their students.
Recording Connection didn’t miss a beat. Decades ago, we learned that not every student has the ability to travel hundreds of miles (or even across town) to learn from audio engineers or music producers in person. So we created and perfected remote-learning possibilities to give more access to students across the U.S.
And when recording studios are able to fully open back up, the OKLAHOMA CITY RECORDING CONNECTION will be waiting with open arms. Until then, we’ll send you a digital audio workstation of your choice, an e-Book with study plans and resources, and virtual access to your mentors. Because music don’t stop, not even for a worldwide pandemic.
