There are several PITTSBURGH AUDIO ENGINEERING AND MUSIC PRODUCTION SCHOOLS to choose from, as well as “name” universities you move across the country to attend. You can spend years at these schools, spend six figures, and follow their rules. Or you can enroll in the PITTSBURGH RECORDING CONNECTION programs.
Instead of vying for your teacher’s attention, you’ll be placed in a real-world studio working one-on-one with your mentor. Get answers to your questions when you ask them, work with our Academics Facilitator to set a schedule (you do have a life outside of school, right?), and learn in accordance with a curriculum that matches your needs. You’ll be working in a pro recording studio, with the latest gear, and with actual clients.

How you work side-by-side with an industry insider, learn to move around a real-world studio, and interact with paying clients is almost as important as the technical aspects of audio engineering or music production. From the moment you meet your mentor, you’ll be receiving opportunities just not available in a traditional educational setting. Will a college professor have a job for you after four years? Rule no. 1 of being a successful audio engineer or music producer? Work with anyone you can. Rule no. 2: make sure you’re prepared and able to be with everyone. Our mentors have outfitted their studios with Pro Tools HDX digital audio workstations, Trident and Neotek elite consoles, Yamaha monitors, and a variety of plug-ins, mics, instruments, and amps. Our mentors work with artists, movie studios, television production companies, and public institutions. They know what it takes to build an impressive roster of clients–and you will too.

Recording Connection does a GREAT job at placing you into REAL studios with REAL engineers and opens the door to allow you to create those connections with your mentor, and continual learning. I was very fortunate to have landed in Recording Connection, they helped me out since day one with my registration, and any paperwork needed. I was placed at ES Audio Studios in Glendale, CA. My mentor at the studio, Donny B. is very knowledgeable. He helped me through the process since the beginning. He helped me pick a great laptop suitable for Engineers. I had no clue of the existence of any DAW's, and after a few months of spending time at the studio, asking questions, getting a hands on experience, and doing colabs with other students/engineers I now have the privilege to be a professional.
