How it works
Less Expensive Than Traditional Universities
At Recording Connection, we believe that quality education does not have to be expensive. That’s why our programs cost much less than traditional universities. Our programs come in around $15,000, a fraction of the cost of four-year universities, colleges, or trade schools. And because we’re located in South Bend, you won’t need to worry about the added expenses of moving hundreds or thousands of miles away to pursue a career in the music industry. Plus, you don’t have to wait four years to finish your degree – our programs can be completed in 6 – 9 months!

Networking Opportunities
Having connections is key when it comes to succeeding in the professional music industry landscape. At Recording Connection, we understand this so we strive to provide our students with networking opportunities that just aren’t available at traditional universities. In many cases, students are hired by mentors to work in their studios or find work with other studios based on recommendations from their mentors. Learning from within the industry gives you access to other professionals and potential clients–something a classroom just can’t offer.

My mentor at the studio, Donny B. is very knowledgeable. He helped me through the process since the beginning. He helped me pick a great laptop suitable for Engineers. I had no clue of the existence of any DAW's, and after a few months of spending time at the studio, asking questions, getting a hands on experience, and doing colabs with other students/engineers I now have the privilege to be a professional.
