RECORDING CONNECTION PARTNERS WITH NIKKI SIXX OF MOTLEY CRUE
The Recording Radio and Film Connection is proud to announce our continued support of local and national charity organizations. In an effort to better the communities our programs are apart of, we are proud to announce our patterning with metal legend Nikki Sixx of the band Motley Crue to donate to Get Prepared California. This portion of the American Red Cross has been trying to help all citizens of the state of California prepare for an eventual natural disaster caused by a massive earthquake. The American Red Cross, in conjunction with The California Earthquake Authority (CEA)
have teamed up to help those in California prepare to survive and recover from our states next damaging earthquake.
Our students take part in our program in cities all along the Gold Coast and are well aware of the dangers caused by earthquakes. But many may not be fully prepared for the destruction that may ensue. In addition to this, RRFʼs corporate offices are located in Los Angeles as well. Where would we be if we were not the kind of school that looked out for its students the way we support our staff. By combining the American Red Crossʼs expertise on preparing kits, making a family disaster plan, and being informed the Recording Radio and Film Connection are doing their part to prepare for the safe future of its network of family.
The Recording Radio and Film Connection is happy to support the California Earthquake Authority. This publicly managed, privately funded organization provides residential earthquake insurance and encourages Californians to reduce their risk of earthquake loss. Its board consists of California’s Governor, State Treasurer, and Insurance Commissioner. The CEA is committed to getting more Californians financially protected against damaging earthquakes through education, mitigation and insurance.
Itʼs a piece of mind RRF is happy to foster.
Through the Get Prepared California foundation, monies have been raised that will go directly to helping families all across the state. This past April the foundation auctioned off a ton of terrific items, like the opportunity to have dinner with celebrities, meet musicians and recording artists backstage on tour, provided tickets to events such as NFL, NHL, MLB and MLS games, fashion shows and even a luxury car. Nikki Sixx himself auctioned off the chance to meet he and the band backstage while on tour in LA and take home an autographed guitar used on tour.
By helping Californians learn how to take care of their families and neighbors, The Recording Radio and Film Connection and Get Prepared California strengthen our communities and become more resilient to disasters large and small. Every Californian can take steps to prepare for possible disasters and we hope to continue to help protect our loved ones and yours.
