RECORDING CONNECTION PARTNERS WITH TV’S JUDGE MATHIS
The Recording Radio and Film Connection is proud to announce our continued support of local and national charity organizations. Our programs have endeavored to support those seeking to better themselves to empower young men and women through quality education. Included in this commitment, RRF is happy to announce our continued partnership with the CW’s Judge Greg Mathis and his many outreach programs. Judge Mathis has taken his message to improve his local communities nation wide and we are happy to continue our support.
Starting in his hometown of Detroit, Judge Mathis created the Mathis Community Center which provides resources for underprivileged members of the city and state. Through events such as his Self Empowerment Expo Judge Mathis is finding a way to tap into the potential of every member of his community and help them realize the steps necessary to make peoples dreams into reality. Through guest speakers, workshops and other resources The Judge and his supporters hope to encourage every individuals to develop and achieve their goals. While The Judge has also spread his message to the cities of Chicago, Philadelphia and Atlanta we at RRF hope to help he and his supporters spread this message to the remaining 46 states the Recording Radio and Film Connection already operates within.
We find that many of Judge Mathis’ teachings coincide with what our programs have strived for during our 30 years of experience. The Judge’s commitment to education, self-empowerment, and mentoring programs parallel the Recording Radio and Film Connections core values. We too have made a commitment to bettering our students through professional guidance towards a serious career in the arts. The Judge has made it his mission to help those in need to create a better future for themselves with the resources at our disposal. This goes hand-in-hand with the with RRF’s continued message of self-reliance and self-motivation to achieve a better future for you and your family.
RRF’s Film Connection program has already teamed up with Judge Mathis to provide an inner-city student the opportunity to work towards a better future. Tracey Wilson, a member of the Mathis Community Center of Detroit, was given the opportunity to take part in our six-month, masters film program. The Film Connection provided Tracey with a trip to Los Angeles, a furnished apartment in the city, a paid internship in the film industry and a first rate education within our program. He will even get the chance to produce, film and direct his own feature-length documentary with the help of our veteran mentors.
We look forward to our continued relationship with Judge Greg Mathis and hope more people take our message to heart.
