From October 22nd through October 31st 2012 Hurricane Sandy wreaked havoc over the Caribbean, Mid-Atlantic, and Northeastern United States. The initial estimates of the financial damages caused by Hurricane Sandy reached near $65.6 billion. In Jamaica, wind speed was so intense that it completely demolished roofs, and caused $55.3 million in damages. Individuals in the Dominican Republic, Puerto Rick, The Bahamas, and Canada all lost their lives due to Hurricane Sandy. In the United States, a total of twenty-four states were affected by the storm. New Jersey and New York endured the most severe damage.
Hurricane Sandy left millions without power, demolished infrastructure, and caused numerous fatalities. The Recording Radio and Film Connection are proud to have partnered with Adam Levine in an attempt to relieve some of these victims’ suffering. The damage that Hurricane Sandy caused was immense. The only way that America, and the rest of the world, can begin healing is by pitching in and contributing aid to these individuals in their time of need.
