INDUSTRIAL
Learn Industrial Music Producing with the Recording Connection:
Industrial music is arguably the most aggressive and abrasive form of electronic music. Founded in the early 1970s in the U.K. and Germany simultaneously, industrial music is the electronic music genre’s version of punk rock. The artists and the music often deal with themes such as violence, government violence, war, murder, and emotional pain. This genre seems to thrive the most when it is expressing the negative aspects of modern society. Pioneers of industrial music include Throbbing Gristle, Cabaret Voltaire, Skinny Puppy, SPK, The Ministry, and Z’EF.
