Course 12: The Midterm Exam

You’re halfway there! The midterm exam will cover everything you’ve learned during the first 11 courses of the Recording Connection Music Production Program. We have put a lot of valuable information in your hands and want to make sure you’re retaining it.

From the role of the producer to understanding your DAW Logic Pro X® or Pro ToolsTM and being able to construct and communicate various artistic ideas within its environment are staples of a career in music production. Understanding the roots of musical notation and standards, knowing song format, and the roles of various instruments in a song are just a few of the disciplines you’ve been learning about.

The midterm will give you a chance to show us what you’ve learned. We recommend going back through the course reviews, quizzes, and blog entries to help remind you of past courses or give you needed refreshers in difficult concepts. We want to make this as low-stress as possible–and you’ve covered a lot in just a few months!

Scheduling sessions with your Academic Facilitator will help you set yourself up for a beneficial midterm exam experience. So take the time to prepare for the midterm–and good luck! We know you’ll do great!
