training with a professional and learning hands on helped me tremendously because i was able to ask difficult questions and get an informative response in return. it allowed me to become more knowledgeable about the equipment that is used in many recording studios, and to see the process of recording and mixing a track. my mentor was able to help me learn about the studio environment and he gave me many resources to do my own independent research on audio engineering
