Audio and Music Production School in Hartford, Connecticut

Not like any other school, this is Audio Education Updated, Reimagined, and Revitalized. Are You Ready to Take Your Place?

We took that old stale classroom concept, rebuilt and upgraded it by putting your classroom in a professional recording studio. Then we emptied out all the other students and left only YOU and YOUR TEACHER (yay for one-on-one learning!) who happens to be a pro music producer (with killer credits) to train you privately (at your pace, full time, part time, nights or weekends available).

HOW IT WORKS

We hit different and here is why:

Recording Connection has taken the “traditional” model of higher education and made it more efficient, less expensive, and what we feel more closely resembles what really happens in the music-making industry today. Instead of telling you how a recording studio operates, we put you in the middle of one.

In most cases, four-year universities require you to take prerequisite classes, have set schedules, and install pre-determined “lab times” where you finally get to start working on (hopefully) up-to-date gear. You’ll do this for a few years, learn some interesting stuff, and then fend for yourself in the real world.

On the other hand, our Hartford, CT, AUDIO ENGINEERING AND MUSIC PRODUCTION SCHOOL will place you inside a real-world recording studio with a PRO MUSIC PRODUCER, perhaps one who’s worked with some of the biggest names in the biz—many of our mentors have, from Justin Bieber to T-Bone Burnett, Beyoncé to AC/DC. With our Academic Facilitators, you’ll set your schedule and shape your syllabus.

We offer six to nine-month programs, set you up with digital audio workstations that are used by music producers around the world, and give you one-on-one time with your mentor, even if they’ve sold millions of records, won Grammys, and work with the biggest names in the music industry.

And we’re always taking new applications. Our classes don’t fill up. We don’t make you wait until next quarter, or fight for the instructor’s attention. It’s you, your mentor, and a HARTFORD, CT, RECORDING STUDIO. Get answers to your questions in the moment instead of scheduling time to see your teacher after class.

You’ll still have required reading, do homework, and take exams—this is an educational institution after all. You’ll be expected to learn the nuts and bolts of music theory, how sound moves through the air, and how our ears take in the music. You’ll just do it all in the studio, not a classroom.

And when the program is over, you’ll have access to our job placement program for up to one year. Over the decades, more than 20,000 of our graduates have gone on to work in the industry. But, let’s be clear: We can’t guarantee you’ll find work after completing our programs. It’s up to you, how hard you work, how responsible you are with the time you spend with us.

But do you want to start your job search after four years of classes or after nine months? Would you rather start making connections in the industry now or after your senior year? Want to start making payments on six-figures of student debt or prefer spending one-tenth of what it costs at conventional college or university schools?

The choice is yours. Now is the time to Amplify Your Life.

WHAT WE OFFER

Work with the Stars or Amplify Your Sound

With the Hartford, CT Recording Connection, you’ll learn the physical and psychological properties of making music. You’ll do it in less time for less money. And you’ll be getting one-on-one mentoring from an industrial insider to help build an unshakeable foundation.

But that’s only one side of the process. What we really want, what your mentor wants, is to help you find a job in the music business. And when it comes to the music industry, or any creative business, who you know is just as important as what you know. And that’s what we offer: We bring the “who” to you.

Your mentor. The artists they work with. Other audio engineers, music producers, and other professionals working in music. Everyone that comes through those studio doors is a potential employer or client. Every day is an interview, the portfolio you’re building is a resume.

These aren’t “guest speakers,” they’re real people making a living in the real world. And while we bring them in, it’s up to you to make the most of it. Are you learning when to step forward and when to hang back? How to talk to the talent? How to set up a studio for a session?

Basically, how to act like you belong there. We’ll give you the tools, but you need to learn how to use them. We can’t give you drive or determination – that comes from within. It’s a lot of hard work, long hours, and those glamorous sessions can be few and far between. Do you have what it takes to do what you need to do to make it?

Our students are often hired by the very mentors they work with, find work with other studios, or even open their own studios. They made themselves indispensable, invaluable to their mentors and their clients. We didn’t give them those jobs. We gave them the opportunities to earn those jobs.

What will you earn?

HARTFORD, CT MENTOR INFORMATION

Working with such stars as Brian McKnight, Andy González, KC and Jojo, Sonique, Calvin Richardson, and Angie Stone, our Hartford, CT, mentors are in high demand. So much so that if an artist can’t get to Connecticut, they’ll fly them in for session work in L.A., Miami – wherever they’re needed.

In order to have that kind of juice, you’ll need to know what you’re doing no matter what studio you’re in. So why not learn from those very mentors? Working with the latest and greatest digital audio workstations (Pro Tools), digital recorders (128-channel SSL), and enough mics, plug-ins, and instruments to produce any genre of music, our mentor has been nominated for four Grammys, winning one with Mary J. Blige.

Being able to work with any genre of music in any studio is what makes so-so audio engineers and music producers into award winners. With Recording Connection mentors, you’ll build a foundation that could one day take you around the U.S. – and the world. But it’s up to you to make it happen.
