New Orleans

Audio and Music Production School in New Orleans, Louisiana

Not like any other school, this is Audio Education Updated, Reimagined, and Revitalized. Are You Ready to Take Your Place?

We took that old stale classroom concept, rebuilt and upgraded it by putting your classroom in a professional recording studio. Then we emptied out all the other students and left only YOU and YOUR TEACHER (yay for one-on-one learning!) who happens to be a pro music producer (with killer credits) to train you privately (at your pace, full time, part time, nights or weekends available).

We hit different and here is why:

We all know the drill when it comes to “traditional” higher education. No matter what classes you want to take, they make sure you take other classes you don’t care about. Limit the amount of options available to create an enrollment frenzy. Get stuck taking an 8 a.m. class on Monday because that was the only time they offered it.

Maybe that works for “traditional” careers. But working to become an audio engineer or music producer is certainly not traditional. And neither are the programs we offer at Recording Connection. We’ll place you with a NEW ORLEANS PRO MUSIC PRODUCER where you work one-on-one in a real-world setting.

You’ll build a foundation on music theory, how the human ear interacts with sound, and how that sound can be manipulated to your will. How to set up a studio, how to work with clients, and how to make sure you get paid. How to work with the gear, the software, and virtual instruments even if you haven’t played a note of music in your life.

And you’ll do it all from a working New Orleans recording studio, taking cues from a professional NEW ORLEANS MUSIC PRODUCER. You’ll get to choose your schedule, have a hand in building the curriculum, and even which studio you want to learn in. Instead of them telling you what you “need,” YOU CHOOSE WHAT YOU WANT.

Did we mention Recording Connection programs last six to nine months for a fraction of the cost of four-year universities? Where would you rather be in four years: Walking on stage to receive a piece of paper or building on the three years of experienc

For three decades, the NEW ORLEANS RECORDING CONNECTION has offered students a unique way to learn how to work in the music industry. The one-on-one time gives mentors a chance to give their externs a true hands-on experience. But what if that experience is interrupted by a worldwide pandemic?

Recording Connection has been perfecting remote learning for close to two decades now, allowing students from around the country to learn from the best, no matter where they are. We outfit them with a digital audio workstation, make sure they have the required resources, from there the mentors and Academic Facilitators (mentor #2 at our headquarters in Los Angeles) do the rest.

It’s a system that became much more prevalent during Covid-19, but has always been an option for our students. Our infrastructure is in place—why wait for some other NEW ORLEANS AUDIO ENGINEERING SCHOOL to play catch up? Start your audio engineering and music production today, right from the safety of your home.

WHAT WE OFFER

Work with the Stars or Amplify Your Sound

With so many different acts and genres in the Big Easy, finding an AUDIO ENGINEERING AND MUSIC PRODUCTION SCHOOL IN NEW ORLEANS is relatively easy. Or you could spend the time and money to move to another city and attend a “name” university. But even after the move, even after the four years and the six-digit student loans, you could be left with little more than a piece of paper.

NEW ORLEANS RECORDING CONNECTION offers so much more—we provide opportunity. The opportunity to learn the business from the inside, work on the latest gear, to make the connections otherwise unavailable in a classroom setting. At university, you may have a weekly lab. With us, it’s a nine-month lab inside of an actual working studio!

During that time, you’ll have the chance to work with the talent, meet with their engineers, talk to the producers. Consider it a months-long oral exam. And if you ace it, you could have a job waiting for you at the end of the program. Either with your mentor, with another studio, or even as a traveling engineer with a touring band or artist.

It all comes down to you and how much work you put in, how much you learn, and how professionally you act. It’s not going to be handed to you. You’ll have to earn it. But wouldn’t it be nice to get started on your career three years earlier than the “traditional” route?
