What You’ll Learn at Recording Connection

At Recording Connection, we have designed our curriculum around what studios are looking for in prospective employees. Our students receive comprehensive instruction and can discuss subjects with their mentors: signal flow, microphone techniques, EQ and compression basics, mixing and mastering fundamentals, producing and arranging principles, sound design essentials — just to name a few. Students may also learn how to use various pieces of professional recording equipment including analog consoles, MIDI controllers/sequencers, drum machines/samplers, synthesizers and more.

FAQs

We offer EDM, Hip Hop, Beat Making, Audio Engineering, Music Producing, Electronic Music Production, Music Business, Live Sound, DJ, Post Production for Film and TV, Advanced Audio, and more.

We have studio partnerships in about 300 cities across the United States. Our students can usually take advantage of a location near them, but we also provide virtual learning opportunities. It’s never been easier for aspiring producers or engineers to uncover their sound.

Our students can have flexible schedules to accommodate their workloads and life commitments. With 10 hours of work per week, the recommended starting point is twice a week until four weeks into training. Hardworking and reliable individuals may then be able to increase time spent in the studio up to five times a week. Some even opt for eight-plus-hour days! We provide flexibility with our mentors’ availability so our externships can fit in — whether you prefer evenings or weekends they are on hand at an agreed-upon schedule between both parties.
