MUSIC PRODUCTION Mentorship Locations

Recording Connection does a GREAT job at placing you into REAL studios with REAL engineers and opens the door to allow you to create those connections with your mentor, and continual learning. You truly get out of the program what you put in. Another great aspect of the program are the virtual advisors that can help you with question regarding Pro Tools and other material as well. Much props to Alex Solis for helping me through the program!

After being a musician for a couple of years, I've decided to take my music skills to the next level. I was very fortunate to have landed in Recording Connection, they helped me out since day one with my registration, and any paperwork needed. I was placed at ES Audio Studios in Glendale, CA. My mentor at the studio, Donny B. is very knowledgeable. He helped me through the process since the beginning. He helped me pick a great laptop suitable for Engineers. I had no clue of the existence of any DAW's, and after a few months of spending time at the studio, asking questions, getting a hands on experience, and doing colabs with other mentees/engineers I now have the privilege to be a professional. A huge thank you, to all who helped answer my questions and helped me grow as a professional engineer.

Jorge Fuentes Quiroz – Los Angeles, California

I had a very good experience with Recording Connection and my mentor Donny Baker from ES Audio Recording Studios. He taught me the things that I need to know about being an engineer/producer and to always be prepared for the gig and to keep the gig as well. I learned a lot from my mentor, other mentees that are more experienced, my Academic Facilitator Jon, and other engineers that worked there. I thank everybody that has helped me through this journey and will use the advice that has been given to me to improve as an engineer.

Noah Gonzalez – Los Angeles, California

I've just finished my program today with Recording Connection, for 9 months. I'm so entirely grateful that I found them, and for all they've done for me and my music career. I'm lightyears away from where I was when I first started. I am even considering enrolling in another program with them! My mentor Sam was the flagship; I always felt like after our sessions something went off in my brain that changed my music for the better, always! He is professional, kind, and SO talented! I've never felt like any issues I had were unanswered by Recording Connection, and they truly care for their mentees. Cheers and here's to hopefully more time and work together!

Rachel Childs – Los Angeles, California

The staff was very engaged with the learning process and very open to extra work whenever needed. Information was clear and concise and there were no issues getting a hold of anyone at any time.

Devin Valdez – Bergheim, Texas

This has really been an incredible experience. I got to learn things in a hand ons setting which has been crucial to my development as an audio engineer. I seriously recommend this to anyone who is trying to get into the music industry. It is an incredible way to get your foot in the door.

Dawson Bradley – Saginaw, Texas

Enjoyed every minute of the 4-5 months I've been with recording connection. I started with Zach, and finish with Alex. With the guidance I received from Alex, Zachary Sheets and my Mentor Steven Clark, there's no doubt in my mind that I'm on right path. Thank you guys for your help, looking forward to putting some projects out there that show case what I've learned for you guys.

Hunter Guilllon – Imes, Iowa

"Training with actual pro and learning hands-on with equipment is the best way for me, because you’re in the moment and you realize your mistakes and achievements. I have a great mentor, working with Francesco Benvenuto taught me how to think like a pro, and how to be able to mix and master music for production. Music is my world, and to be able to play it the way I love, I learned in this school the mastery to express my soul with music, and I owe that to my instructors Francesco Benvenuto and Alex Solis. The length of the program allowed me to progress on time, motivated me to work long enough on my skills and be able to achieve the next level. Tuition of education in united stated is not cheap but allowing me to make affordable payment and step closer to my dream is priceless. The tools and knowledge I learned from classes, now I have more confidence to achieve my goals, thanks to you guys! Hands-on experience and being able to use the actual tools in this industry helped me more than any classroom and any book to read. For me, real learning is the actual working on the project itself, and this course allowed me more to do so, and encouraged me to be the best at what I love to do."

Koroush Atlasi – Plano, Texas

I enjoyed being apart of this program. I enjoyed getting the opportunity to be in the studio with my mentor and being able to Observe how he gets down in the studio. Since getting to watch Mr Hamza Lee in the studio sessions, my beats have improved and I hope I continue to get to work with him ????????????

Lamar Whetstone – Lawton, Oklahoma

Recording Connections was exactly the answer I was looking for to make my way into the music industry. The setup was beautiful,(mentor and academic advisor) which allowed me to visit the studio quite often as well as getting home training on my DAW via zoom. Dougy was a critical part in this process through his hard work, flexibility, and determination for my success in the program. Sheldon(my mentor)as busy as he was, was able was able to provide the guidance needed for me to figure out my direction as an artist. I look forward to working with more quality like minded professional artists and producers as I turn my love of music into a career in this industry!

Alan Graham – Peachtree City, Georgia

As a former mentee with another program for audio engineering coming to recording connection I wanted to have more hands on experience in the studio and allow myself to really immerse myself in the work. The hands on courses through recording connection are what sold me on the program and after finishing it I can say that those sessions are key contributors to why my music was able to take the next step. The online course would be helpful to a beginner and have a lot of value to some mentees but I found myself learning way more with my mentor than the online course. Overall an awesome learning experience over the last 6 months and i’m glad I found this opportunity.

Dominic Aragon – Tempe, Arizona

Amazing program! I started as a newbie and now, i feel 20x more confident in my ability to produce radio ready hits!! My mentor helped me tons along the way!

Tomas Romero – El Rito, New Mexico

Recording connection was such a great experience. I went from having 2-3 months of music production experience and once I got finished with the 6-month Recording Connection Beatmaking program, my growth accelerated 10-fold. I'm now at a point where I feel like I could eventually have a job working in the music industry! Everyday you are able to be with people that actually live the everyday life in the music industry. The teachers/mentors are phenomenal. They show you little "industry" secrets that would be hard to pick up on unless you were actually with professionals. This program also teaches you intangible traits. How to act in a studio session, how to treat rappers/musicians, when to ask and say certain things within a session, how to make yourself valuable etc. If you are looking for an alternative to traditional music school, this should definitely be your number one option.

Colby Feezell – Charlotte, NC

The RRFC is an amazing school with great Hands On learning opportunities in a real studio environment. The staff is very helpful and professional as well as my mentor and the sound at Trilogy Sound Studio. I am very thankful to have been apart of this program and can say it was one of the best decisions i have ever made.

Elijah Watkins – Waldorf Maryland

I had such a great time with recording connections. My Academic Facilitator, Dougy, was awesome. This is my first time working with Ableton and I had absolutely zero knowledge on how the DAW worked or where to even start with producing music. Dougy walked me through it all the way and helped me lay down ideas I had and helped me develop them. He always answered whatever questions I had and showed me a bunch of cool producers and music he listened to or what he was working on. I learned a lot through this course and it has encouraged me to continue on with another course that I'm super excited about. I loved how hands on the course was and that it really encouraged me to get into it right away. Being introduced to all the hardware and synths that come along with producing really just got me more excited about this career. It was also awesome getting to work with G.W. Childs on a song and going through the process of producing a full song. I also loved that I got two different perspectives on music and how to produce. It's really helped me to find out what works for me and how to get the best workflow out of myself. They are also super flexible with when you schedule class time and if anything comes up they are understanding and make it easy to reschedule. Overall I highly recommend coming to Recording Connections if you're looking to start a music career or are already involved in one!

Gavin Obrecht – Bailey, Colorado

I really enjoyed learning through RRFC. It at an actual studio and not a university. I was able to see what an audio engineer actually does and having it be more hands on. 🙂

Elizabeth Novak – Chagrin Falls, Ohio

Alex Solis is the man. We got along from the moment we spoke. He always pushed me to do my best, even when I was unsure of myself. He is an excellent engineer and is very knowledgeable in his field. As a great academic advisor, he truely deserves this 5/5.

Christopher Handy – Whitinsville, Massachusetts

It's really good environment, My mentor is Mike, he shows me cool crazy things in his Eravox Studio that it takes a long time for me to know if I did not meet him. Also outside the studio, School has people to help you with everything you need in music industry, I luckily met Alex who has helped me improve my mixing skills. RRFC will open the door and show you how to improve your skills and your knowledge, just be ready and put into work.
