Reviews from students and mentors of Recording Connection
My time with my mentor(GW) has given me an insight on how working for the industry is. My mentor talked all about how did it start and was the process and for someone trying to reach the industry. it was very helpful to hear it in person. My mentor was great he is an awesome mentor, very easy to understand and taught me things that actually benefit my career going forward. For my Academic Facilitator(Bennett Papier) he was awesome. he is very nice and also understands if you have a problem, guide me the whole way both of them are awesome and made it fun and enjoyable here at RRFC

Shout out to Mr. Mack Woodward and Mr. Sam Zulfer for helping me out with my music journey.(Also Reccording connects) You guys made me grow in the music world and as a person. I have nothing but great things to say about the Recording Connection Program. The audio production/ audio engineering program was a great fit for me, getting hands-on training from a professional with years of experience took all the guesswork out to put my mind at ease. No more going to sites on the internet for helpful tips to what I should or shouldn’t do when it came to producing or recording vocals and engineering which saved me a whole lot of time and stress. My mentor Kelly Jones who is the General Manager of Da Spot Recording Studio in Richmond, Va gave me the best insight, teaching me to mix songs with feeling and letting me know not to overthink things which can jam me up. This tip from my mentor gave me better end results when it came to mixing songs that I never thought I could achieve before. My Academic Facilitator Jon Bicchieri was always on point with checking in on me and making sure I stayed on the right path following the School’s Curriculum. He gave me great notes on assignments and always had a positive mindset even when I was struggling and couldn’t focus. Jon was also able to lend a second ear outside of my mentor pertaining to mixing songs that I couldn’t get my head around, which led me down the right path to where I have excelled today thanks to the Recording Connection Program.

Training with an actual pro helps you learn a lot more , during my course, getting hands on in the studio was the best part, seeing everything in person and learning from someone that has been working on this helped me learn and find my potential in the music industry, bringing clients to the studio and learning another professionals workflow helped me find my workflow that’s best for me and my clients.

Recording connection was a great experience for me. Throughout the 6 month program I learned the foundation for the rest of my career in music. This program is truly what you make of it. My experience with my mentor Josh was excellent, he was always helpful with whatever I needed and taught me a lot.

I loved my program with RRFC Recording Connection! I got to work on a lot of different projects with my mentor from mixing and mastering an entire album to doing live events. The online coursework was great too. I learned a lot and enjoyed having a blend of in-person and online work. Highly recommend Recording Connection!

Thank you God for giving His strength, peace and comfort through our many challenges this year. I feared I would not have completed the Audio Production and Engineering program without Him. Thank you to The Recording Connection for their patience in our struggle with finances, health, loss and specifically Jon Bicchieri keeping me on track as well. His encouragement throughout the course is foreign to me so please know how much I appreciate you all. Best school I have ever attended and a new beginning starts.

I was apart of the Audio Engineering and Music Production course at RRFC and I would say It was worth the experience and knowledge I got out of it. It took me from someone that had never been in a studio with no real world experience to someone with a good understanding of all the basics of audio engineering, with real world experience. The hands on help and feedback from my advisor Jon Bicchieri made the program worthwhile for me. His feedback on my mixes took me from blindly stumbling around protools to being able to get what I wanted out of a mix every time. If you have no idea how to get started in this industry and have decided traditional music school isn’t the way to go, this program might be for you.
