The Best Way to Learn Ableton is in a Studio, not a Classroom

What sets Recording Connection Ableton Artist Program apart from other music school course offerings and curricula is the ability to learn in a working, professional studio. Our mentors are Grammy winners, work with the biggest names in the industry, and have years of experience in the industry. With the professionals who mentor with us, you’ll see how Ableton is used in real-life rather than reading about it in a book. You’ll work on the same versions of Ableton Live that are being used to make the music you hear on the radio, the music you stream, and the music you own. Instead of competing with others for lab time, you’ll be working with the gear the pros use from the start, all of it from inside a working studio.

Work at your own Pace with our Ableton Live Program Curriculum

Another advantage of learning Ableton Live courses from Recording Connection is the ability to help set your syllabus, so to speak. Working with your mentor and an Academic Facilitator, we’ll find out what you know, what you don’t, and what you excel at and create a program for you. You’ll still get the basics, but why spend more time on a specific area that you already know or don’t plan on pursuing? With university courses in music, you’ll need to take the classes they tell you to before getting to the classes you want. When creating or modifying the curriculum, we’ll take your experience into account while also ensuring you’ve got a firm grasp on all of the foundations you need to succeed and continue learning and understanding as you progress as a music producer. Look through our Ableton Live courses for an idea of what you’ll be getting from our program. Setting up virtual drum racks, creating templates and workflows that make sense (including working in the best view: arrangement view or session view), integrating midi controllers, and bringing in audio and midi tracks are covered. Along with the software, learning how the audio interface and other gear works together with Ableton is key to achieving an overall understanding that prepares you for the work ahead.
