How it works
Music Production School in Columbia MO
At Recording Connection, we believe that experience is just as important as theory when it comes to learning audio engineering and music production. We offer our students an immersive experience that allows them to learn by doing—working with professionals on real projects under the supervision of experienced engineers. This means that you will gain practical skills and knowledge that cannot be taught in any classroom environment.
What sets our program apart from traditional four-year universities is also our unique approach to student/mentor relationships. Every student is paired up with their own mentor who takes the role of coach—someone who can provide guidance and feedback throughout your entire journey within the program. Our mentors are highly experienced professionals working within the music industry—audio engineers, music producers, and others—who understand firsthand what it takes to succeed as an audio engineer or music producer.
We will submit your music to labels or get you a job in a studio or as a creator.

Remote Learning Opportunities
In addition to providing personalized attention from one of our mentors, we also offer remote learning opportunities for those who are unable to come into our studio for lessons due to geographic location or other commitments. For these students, we provide access to online curriculum materials so they can still participate fully in our program without leaving their homes!
Best of all, when compared with traditional four-year university programs, our tuition costs are just a fraction of what you would pay at most universities! Our programs also last between six and nine months, meaning you could be working less than a year after starting a program. In fact, many students are hired by their mentors to work in the studios they learned in.
