How it works
One-on-one Mentorship
The cornerstone of the Lubbock Recording Connection is the one-on-one mentorship program. Our mentors are experienced industry professionals who can provide invaluable feedback on your work as well as up-to-date information on trends and techniques in the field. Plus, they offer advice on how best to network with those in the local industry, which is essential for any aspiring creative.
You’ll learn from mentors inside their recording studio, working with the latest gear and up-to-date digital audio workstations. You’ll see how they work with clients, move around the studio, and prepare for sessions. This type of immersive experience just isn’t possible in a traditional classroom environment.

Low Tuition Fees

While other schools may be more expensive, they don’t provide nearly as much value as what you get from the Lubbock Recording Connection.
You also won’t waste four years at a brand university, taking classes you don’t want and paying fees you definitely don’t want. We create a curriculum around your needs and most of our programs last six to nine months. This means you can start looking for work in less than a year! With one year of job placement assistance upon completion of an audio engineer and music production program, you can be working as a professional while others are halfway through their sophomore year.

Recording Connection does a GREAT job at placing you into REAL studios with REAL engineers and opens the door to allow you to create those connections with your mentor, and continual learning. My mentor at the studio, Donny B. is very knowledgeable. He helped me through the process since the beginning. He helped me pick a great laptop suitable for Engineers. I had no clue of the existence of any DAW's, and after a few months of spending time at the studio, asking questions, getting a hands on experience, and doing colabs with other students/engineers I now have the privilege to be a professional.
