Through a career spanning over 20 years, he has performed as a bandmate in rap groups N.W.A. and World Class Wreckin’ Cru, and later as a solo artist under his current moniker. Dr. Dre is considered a figurehead in the emergence of the gangsta rap and West Coast G-Funk genres.  He has won multiple Grammy Awards for his performances and recordings over the years, and has produced other legendary acts such as 50 Cent, Snoop Dogg and Eminem.  Also an entrepreneur, Dr. Dre recently became the first billionaire in hip-hop, thanks to his deal with Apple to acquire his company Beats Electronics.
