SHOW THIS TO YOUR PARENTS

Welcome to the Recording Connection parents’ page.  If you are a parent, relative, or guardian of a person considering our music school, this page can help you gain clarity on some important facts. Since 1983, we have been providing cutting-edge education in music recording and producing, live event sound and audio engineering in The U.S.,  and more recently in Canada, Australia and the U.K. That said, we understand that making a smart decision about where to send your son or daughter, grandson or granddaughter, cousin, niece, nephew, friend, or dependent to school is never an easy one. And money is not the only concern. With so many options (and so many scams) out there in our world today, it is always best to consider all your options carefully when choosing a school.  It is our intention to give you the facts about us so you and your family can feel at ease with the decision that you are about to make. To that end, we’d first like you to meet our corporate staff and partners. Each one of these individuals is dedicated to providing each of our students with the assistance they need to successfully complete our course, graduate, and get connected into the music business. Since 1983, the Recording Connection has been offering its unique mentor/extern method of teaching the recording arts and engineering skills, and we feel our offerings are more timely and relevant than ever. Pursue Your Music Producing Dreams

“This was my first day at my mentors’ studio. When I first got inside and met with my mentor, we sat down and started reviewing the lesson on the Introduction of Sound and Hearing. We talked about the reading and he clarified some of the terms. I really enjoyed being able to spend time with my mentor, going over certain things that I wanted to learn more about, which helped me to understand more about the lesson. Then, my mentor invited me to stay and watch a band have a session. I really thought it was cool that my mentor asked me to do this because I got to see the production side of things. I am really eager to get into the studio and start learning about the business and continue to pursue my dream of becoming a music producer.”— Jackson Herrera, Los Angeles, CaliforniaNetwork with Your Mentor

“I am very excited about my sessions with my mentor. For my session this week, my mentor had me sit in on a video recording of a live band. My mentor allowed me to bring a friend, so I invited my father along for the night. My father and I really had a wonderful time and I learned a lot. Also, I got to meet some of my mentors other students, as well as talk with the ones who have already graduated. They had nothing but good things to say about the Recording Connection, which was awesome!”— Tracy Laster, Philadelphia, PennsylvaniaMake your parents proud

“Today my session with my mentor was about mics, connecting them to the pre amp, and then converting the analog to digital. I am now really starting to understand how this process works really well, and my mentor is really impressed. My sessions are going great with my mentor. Every week I spend more and more time in the studio, learning a lot every week. My mentor and I get along great and he says I pick up things really fast, which is a good thing. I really enjoy what I have been learning, as well as putting it to good use. My parents are also really proud that I am doing something I like, which makes me feel pleased.” — Maxx Limbourne, Redlands, CaliforniaRead more Recording Connection Success Stories, or view our Video Testimonials
