Recording Connection graduate goes “On the Run” with Jay Z and Beyoncé!

It wasn’t long ago ago that Krysten Dean was apprenticing with the Recording Connection under Joey Heier at Crystal Clear Studio in Philadelphia, PA. Since graduating, Dean’s been focusing on doing live sound and following her bliss has paid of big time! Krysten Dean is running live sound operations for concert series of the decade: Jay Z and Beyoncé’s “On the Run” tour!

The critically acclaimed stadium tour, lauded for it’s state of the art sound and lighting effects, started in June at Sun Life Stadium in Miami, FL, and is hitting major cities throughout the U.S. and Canada before closing-out in September with a much-anticipated two-day stopover in Paris, France. The tour is unique in its Bonnie and Clyde theme, a narrative taken from the Jay Z song “Part II: On the Run.” The set-list includes recent and signature hits from both of the iconic superstars.

Krysten credits much of her current success to the time she spent learning the ropes in the Recording Connection program. “Thank you for getting me started and thank you for believing in me,” Dean says. “It all started learning from you!”
