Audio and Music Production School in Colorado Springs, Colorado

Not like any other school, this is Audio Education Updated, Reimagined, and Revitalized. Are You Ready to Take Your Place?

We took that old stale classroom concept, rebuilt and upgraded it by putting your classroom in a professional recording studio. Then we emptied out all the other students and left only YOU and YOUR TEACHER (yay for one-on-one learning!) who happens to be a pro music producer (with killer credits) to train you privately (at your pace, full time, part time, nights or weekends available).

Your Colorado Springs, Colorado MUSIC PRODUCTION SCHOOL ALTERNATIVE

We hit different and here is why:

Located in south-central Colorado in the towering shadow of Pike’s Peak, the city of Colorado Springs is home to over 400,000 people, as well as the United States Air Force Academy and various traditional colleges and universities. But the music industry is anything but traditional, so the Recording Connection audio engineering and music production programs reflect that.

Along with an academic facilitator, you’ll work with a mentor to set a schedule, build a curriculum, and customize the experience to enhance your strengths and minimize your weaknesses. You’ll work one-on-one with PRO MUSIC PRODUCER from inside a PROFESSIONAL COLORADO SPRINGS RECORDING STUDIO.

Certainly, there are some professions where a little bit of classroom time is necessary – but working in the music business isn’t one of them. Instead of reading how to set up a studio for a session, help do it in person. Instead of watching YouTube tutorials about digital audio workstations, get hands-on experience and direct, one-on-one instruction on the latest software. Instead of listening to someone talk about being in a studio, work side-by-side in the recording studio with someone who does it for a living.

We have to admit, it’s a pretty sweet way to learn about the industry. But now is not the time to be taking pictures and posting to social media (although there is a time and place for that). Now is the time to roll up those sleeves and get to work. Remember – this is a professional studio. Your mentor, their clients, and other studio employees are working. You should be too. Both in the studio and in your “free” time.

Because if you’re serious about making a career in the music industry, you’ll need to bring everything you have. No matter if you’ve already produced a couple of tracks on your own or can’t tell an A sharp from a B flat, Recording Connection is designed to give you a foundation that you can build on for the rest of your life. Are you ready to amplify your life?

Although the Colorado Springs Recording Connection has everything an aspiring engineer or producer would want, sometimes life throws us a curveball.

But there’s more to the story than just social distancing. With more than 250 locations around the U.S., remote learning gives you unmatched access to our world-class educational opportunities. COLORADO SPRINGS MENTOR INFORMATION

Located at the base of the Rocky Mountains, Colorado Springs is a haven for outdoor enthusiasts. But that doesn’t mean there’s a shortage of acts that like to get inside and rock once in a while.  From alternative act Ten After Eight and Smash Adams, the guitar-driven pop of A Novel Form, rockers Filter, and a host of rappers and other lyricists, Colorado Springs mentors have engineered and produced a range of genres.

Our Colorado Springs mentors are able to produce the perfect sound for their clients because their studios are filled with some of the best gear. An array of digital audio workstations (Pro Tools and Digidesign), Waves plug-in bundles, Apogee converters, monitors, submixers, consoles, and a variety of mics, including Microtech Gefells, AKGs, KSMs, and a Bock 251.

By having a mix of the old and the new when it comes to gear, and enough studio space to record an orchestra, you’ll learn how to work on a range of hardware and software while working with local, regional, and even national acts. You’ll see first hand how music is made in today’s world.

WHAT WE OFFER

Work with the Stars or Amplify Your Sound

At the Colorado Springs Recording Connection, you’ll get the education you need, build a portfolio you can share, and develop a brand that you’ll cultivate as long as you’re in the industry. But first, you’ll have to become part of the industry. You’ve been given the insider’s look at the music business, now it’s time for a seat at the table.

While we can’t guarantee you’ll find work after one of our programs, we can give you the next best thing. From day one, and every day after that, you’ll get the opportunity to impress potential employers and clients that may pay you for your services down the road.

Think of it as a six or nine-month interview, the music you make as your resume, and the people you work with as possible references. At least you won’t have to show up in a suit and tie – unless you want to. But you will have to show up ready to work.

It’s important to know what you’re doing of course, but who you know can be just as valuable in the music industry. The connections you make in the present can help you find work in the future. We feel these types of opportunities just aren’t available in other educational settings.

Our hardest-working students have gone on to work at the recording studios they learned in, while others have found work at other studios based on their mentor’s recommendations. Other students have been hired by clients they worked with during the program, or even opened their own studios after they graduated.

As we said, we can’t promise you’ll have a job waiting for you at the end of the program. But if you put in the time and effort, act responsibly, and really put in the work, it’s not out of the realm of possibility. We’ve put thousands of graduates into the industry workforce – why not join their ranks?
