WHAT OUR RECORDING AND MUSIC PRODUCTION SCHOOL OFFERS
Work with the Stars or Amplify Your Sound
One of the not-so-secret secrets of the music industry is who you know is oftentimes just as important as what you know. Recording Connection programs are designed to give you a solid base of audio engineering or music production. Having a technical foundation is important of course, but how you handle yourself in the studio is just as critical.
Because no matter who walks through that studio door, they very well could be looking for an engineer or producer. What kind of first impression are you going to make? How will you make the most of these opportunities? And can you create your own opportunities by bringing work to the studio?
Look at your time in the studio as an ongoing interview process. Do you pick up new processes quickly? Are your questions well-reasoned and do you take the answers to heart? Are you a self-starter, able to manage your time, and have confidence in your insights? Ask your mentor what they and other studios are looking for and act accordingly.
Our most successful students show their mentors they take the programs seriously, act responsibly, and work with a professional demeanor. They have been hired by the recording studios where they externed, have been hired by other studios based on word of mouth and an impressive portfolio. A few have even been hired on the spot by touring acts.
These connections just aren’t available in most university settings – you have to leave those hallowed halls to get your name in circulation. With Recording Connection, we bring those connections to you. As always, the choice is yours – but what makes more sense?
